Ways We Can Help

Call our helpline. You can call 1-800-871-7741 any time to reach a trained advocate who can help. You can call this number if you've just been assaulted and aren't sure what to do. You can also call if you just need to talk to someone or if you have a friend who needs help. You can make an appointment to see someone in person. You can call for any other reason. We're here to support whatever you need.

Come to a support group. Support groups are a place for support and learning. Group members share their experiences and what kind of support helps. We offer different kinds of support groups like peer support or trauma-sensitive yoga. We host support groups for all gender identities in Kennebec and Somerset Counties. Contact us for more information about support groups.

Ask for a trained advocate to go with you to the hospital or police department. A trained advocate can go with you anytime if you want to go to the hospital for an exam after an assault. We can also go with you if you want to report to the police.

Meet in person with an advocate for ongoing help. Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Advocates are trained to support survivors in many ways. They help survivors find resources and file paperwork. We will go with you to medical appointments, court, and to the police. We can help with assault and harassment issues at work and school. We also connect people with legal and community help. We are here to give emotional support.
