Volunteering With Us

Volunteers are what make this work possible! There are many ways you can volunteer with us. We are happy to work with you to find the right volunteer work based on your interests, schedule, and our needs. Below you'll find information about different ways to volunteer with us. If you don't see something you're able to do and still want to help, just send us an email!

Work on the Helpline

One of the most rewarding ways to help survivors is to talk to them when they need our support. Our helpline is staffed by both staff and volunteers. To work on the helpline, you will need to complete a 40-hour training. Once you've taken the training, you will be able to get calls at home through your cell phone or home phone (your number remains private). For more information about the training and other requirements, please send us an email!
"Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.”
~Elizabeth Andrew

Help with Events

Volunteer Application
Volunteering to support our events is a great way to volunteer with us if you don't have the time to do the 40-hour training and ongoing commitment of being on the helpline. We have two big fundraisers each year - our Celebrity Waiter Dinner (in September) and our One in Five 5k (April). We ALWAYS need help to coordinate and run these fun events. Contact us for more information about different ways to help!
